Dr. Woodfin utilizes a specialized combination of traditional western medicine and complementary care modalities in order to provide patients with holistic, individualized treatment regimens. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with Honors from the University of Michigan, Dr. Woodfin attended Western University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California, where she graduated with her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to work as an Intern and Resident at UCLA/Harbor Medical Center in Torrance, California and served as Chief Resident during her final year of residency. During that time, Dr. Woodfin became certified to provide Medical Acupuncture through the Stanford University/HMI program. She is a Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association and maintains membership in the American Academy of Medical Acupuncturists and American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Woodfin is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has been in practice since 2007—first in Los Angeles, then in Traverse City, Michigan. She is excited to be back in California and a part of the BTI group.
Dr. Woodfin provides psychotherapy, medication management, and consultation regarding medical acupuncture, nutrition, exercise and other complementary modalities. She prefers to work with patients as a team to strive for optimal health and is humbled to be a part of their journey.
