Renee Talmon, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with an extensive background in the assessment of cognitive and psychological functioning, including learning disabilities, ADHD, and social and emotional functioning. While the tests and measures used are tailored specific to each assessment, measurements often include ability and achievement or academic tests, projective tests, and specialized tests. Additionally, consultation provides ample time for questions, life skill application, suggestions, and referrals to supplemental resources.
Dr. Talmon obtained her doctoral degree from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant University where, in addition to cognitive and psychological assessment, she also trained in neuropsychological assessment. She has also developed a skills-based workshop for executive functioning skills to increase coping mechanisms related to ADHD.
Dr. Talmon maintains a clinical practice in assessment and in psychotherapy and works with children, adolescents, and adults. Her theoretical orientation is eclectic and incorporates psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness philosophy into her therapeutic interventions. Additionally, Dr. Talmon’s theoretical approach to therapy is grounded in a biopsychosocial model so to inform and empower individuals in a growth mindset to develop tools and techniques to better manage the internal and external challenges they may be facing.
