Abel Bumgarner, M.D.

Dr. Bumgarner earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed psychiatry residency training at the University of Maryland and Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore. He has additional training through a fellowship at The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt Hospital and through a training fellowship in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation at Duke University. He has treated patients in private practice, community psychiatry, crisis residential, and psychiatric urgent care. He has worked with patients who suffer from a wide variety of psychiatric disorders. He currently sees adult patients with a focus on treatment of mood disorders, depression and anxiety.
